Southwest Family Resource Fair

Community Rooms A and B and Kitchen Combined
Saturday, May 11, 2024, 11:00am to 3:00pm

In the days leading up to summer, enjoy a gathering of families and neighbors at Meadowridge Library where you can learn more about the organizations and resources in your community!

The Southwest Family Resource Fair is a drop-in event with family-friendly activities, snacks, and music, as well as info to help you better navigate health, wellness, employment, transportation, and other critical resources for your family.

For little ones, we'll have art activities, face painting, and a fun photo booth. The photo booth will be available from 11am-1pm, and face painting will be offered from 1pm-3pm.

Participating organizations include:

  • Common Wealth Development
  • Hy-Vee | Stop by this table to sign up for a free cookbook, pick up a family meal kit (while supplies last), and meet your local Hy-Vee dietician, who will be answering nutrition-related questions
  • Madison Children's Museum | Build a fort with Museum materials, take a craft-to-go, and snag free admission passes
  • Madison Metro Transit
  • Maydm
  • Meadowood Health Partnership
  • MSCR - Meadowood Neighborhood
  • RISE Wisconsin
  • Tenant Resource Center

Teen Market

Plus, local teens have been participating in a multi-week program to create and brand their own products! You can browse and purchase stickers, keychains, tote bags, and buttons made by and for teenagers in the community. This is a great way to support youth artists and entrepreneurs! All sales will be cash-only.

We'll provide a free We Read bag upon entry. No registration required.

This program was made possible thanks to support from the Madison Public Library Foundation.
